Culinary Water
Mona residents enjoy delicious water. Our water is supplied from a protected natural source. It is monitored and tested regularly to ensure safety. Mona City charges Mona City residents $31 a month for the first 15,000 gallons. County residents will be charged $44 a month for the first 15,000 gallons. Overage charges are $3 per 1,000 gallons. Meters are read monthly.
Irrigation Water
Some Mona Residents have irrigation water available which is provided by Mona Irrigation Company. Contact Shawna at (435) 623-5072 for more information.
Garbage
Country Garbage provides garbage service for Mona City. Pick-up is every Thursday. Garbage can (s) must be out by 7 a.m. Place containers no further off the road than 4-5 feet. Garbage is only collected in approved containers. Do not place green waste in garbage cans. Cost is $16 a month for the first can. An additional can is $15 a month.
Paying garbage customers may use the Nephi Land Fill at no charge. Juab County Rural Development Agency (JRDA) landfill is located south of Highway 132 on Sheeplane Road in Nephi. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Closed: Sundays and Holidays.
Solid waste must be separated. Household, construction, demolition, and yard waste must be separated prior to dumping. No hazardous waste accepted. Please dump only in designated dumping areas. Additional regulations and rules are found here.
Natural Gas
Natural gas for Mona City residents is provided by Mona City through Nephi City. Nephi purchases the gas on the open market and resells it to Mona City. Due to this contract, the rates may change on a regular basis as the price per therm Nephi City charges varies. Questar Gas does not provide services in Mona. Any rebates or offers promoted by Questar are not available to Mona City residents.
Sewer
Mona City supplies sewer for residents at a rate of $52 a month. Mona City Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 645 North 300 West. Direct inquires to the Mona City Office at (435) 623-4913.

Paying Your Mona City Utility Bill
Residents receive a monthly statement for water, garbage, sewer and natural gas. This bill is due on the last day of each month. Services may be shut off for past due bills. Mona City is not responsible for damages resulting from utilities which are shut off for non-payment.
