There are two types of subdivisions in Mona City - minor and regular.
A minor subdivision is 3 lots or less and consists of no new roads. A minor subdivision application is required for minor subdivisions. A regular subdivision is anything more than 3 lots, or if new roads must be built. The process for a regular subdivision takes, at minimum, 3 months to complete. The process has 3 separate applications, all which need planning and zoning with a concept plan application, the a preliminary application, and then a final application. Each of these applications must be met on by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Commission meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. To guarantee consideration for the agenda, applications must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the meeting.
